形態特徵

• A vine, climbing by simple tendrils, glabrous; stems rather stout.
• Leaves petiolate, 5-foliolate and pedate, leaflets coriaceous, ovate, acute, glabrous on both surfaces and lustrous above, base oblique-acute, 8–12 cm long, 4–6 cm wide, margin crenately serrate; petiolules 1–2 cm long; petioles up to 10 cm long.
• Umbellate cymes opposite to leaves; peduncles about 3.5 cm long; pedicels 4 mm long, thickened below calyx; calyx 4-lobed, lobes 0.6 mm long; petals 4, valvate, ovate, 2 mm long; ovary glabrous.
• Fruit a 1–2-seeded berry, obovate-globose, about 8 mm across; seeds rugose, 7.5–7.0 mm long, 5 mm wide, 3.8–4 mm thick, semiorbiculate-obovate, convex on the back side and flat on the inner surface, apex acute but not beaked, chalaza and seed folds very conspicuous.
• This species was described by C. E. Chang as <i>Tetrastigma lanyuensis</i> with the description ‘umbellis axillaribus’. However, its inflorescences are actually opposite to the leaves and so it is here considered as a species of <i>Cissus</i>.

• 台灣 : Endemic to Is. Lanyu.
